The Library of Congress has added nineteen student anthologies published by 826DC to its permanent collections—spanning more than a decade of work, from 2011 to 2025. Each volume emerged from one of 826DC’s signature writing residencies in local schools and community centers, where students are supported in creating original work around a central theme and genre. Together, these books represent fifteen years of the organization’s commitment to the DC community.
Neue Now is proud to have contributed to this collection, providing design and illustration for seven of the nineteen anthologies now held by the Library of Congress.

K-12 Dive covers 826DC’s most ambitious Young Author Book Project yet—a narrative poetry anthology written by tenth graders at Phelps ACE High School. Students spent the 2024–25 school year drafting and refining personal poems around the theme “the life I choose,” culminating in Now I See With Open Eyes.
This is Neue Now’s fifth book cover for 826DC’s Young Author Book Project. It’s a thrill helping these young people’s voices be heard.
